ART MUSIC THE BLUES THE HYPOCRITE THEATRE MELB. XERXES	Venue: The Verve, cellar level, Edward st, Brisbane City. A new exhibition begins at The Verve on the 5th November featuring the work of artist James Carr for one month. James is a talented songwriter and guitarist who now paints as well. This is his first one man show and not to be missed. James and his band "Raymond's Middlename" will also be performing their new songlist. The band will soon be touring Australia. James Carr is a unique combination of machismo and artistry having come straight out of first grade league in Sydney and into the heady world of art. His works are reflective of great passion and are executed with very physical and drammatic use of paint. Highly abstract and textured, often with touches of collage pieces. Each work is uniquely its own in colour,style and execution. Newer works on board are larger and even more bold with the paint applied very thickly. Jame's smaller works are gems of inspiration and idea. They often encapsulate an emotive theme expressed in sensitive colours. His work has already sold well in the highly competitive brisbane market and shows great promise in the investment arena. The show begins at six and will rock on till LATE!!
