As a Textile Artist, I try to express my enjoyment in the world around me, revelling in the creative possibilities of the materials I use. My interest in Textile Art began whilst still at high school. I spent much of my spare time sewing, embroidering, spinning and knitting. In 1998 I learnt to weave and spent a lot of enjoyable time creating hand woven rugs, cloth and scarves along with my machine embroidered works. I have exhibited my work in London, Buckinghamshire and Canberra.
I live in Canberra where I continue to create pieces which include pictures using photography and freehand embroidery, abstract machine embroidered pictures and a range of handbags, hats and greeting cards. I specialise in free machine embroidery using the needle as my paint brush and am always exploring new possibilities and ideas.
