Penelope's passion to paint started early in childhood. she completed a 5 year scholarship at East Sydney Technical College and was awarded a Degree in Painting Fine Arts 1971.

Penelope is an experienced workshop teacher of the "art of drawing, painting with oils, pastels, acrylics and watercolours" at the Moreton Institute of TAFE from 1991-2000. Also teaching privately and at Art Societies in Beenleigh, Coochiemudlo, Sunshine Coast, Mt Isa and at the Arts Academy in Morningside.Brisbane Institue of Art, Brisbane Arts Academe, Brisbane Artists Academe,Grafton Artsfest, Mackay Art Society, Bathurst Mitchell School of Arts, University Of Qld Hervey Bay Art On the Bay,
